Foam Dressing

Capu-Cell is a hydrophilic polyurethane foam technology that is uniquely suited for the medical field and can be used as a foam dressing. Capu-Cell is capable of soaking up to 15 times its own weight in fluids, but it can also be re-engineered to meet a range of absorbencies. It can be formulated with disinfectants and antibiotics for an extra layer of protection. This unique foam is also gentle on skin and will not scratch or injure delicate tissue. In addition, Capu-Cell is reusable and retains all of its characteristics even after repeated use. Capu-Cell’s high tensile strength, elongation, dimensional stability and durability make it an ideal foam dressing for a wide range of medical applications.

Other medicinal advantages of using Capu-Cell as a hydrophilic foam dressing are the ability to sterilize the dressing, its antimicrobial properties and its ability to retain moisture to keep from drying out. This soft, pliable material can also be fabricated and molded into a variety of shapes and sizes.
